….but aren’t sure how to start?

We’ve all started from the same point.

Staring at that empty Facebook, IG, LinkedIn, TikTok page, wondering what I should say.

Scrolling through other accounts, amazed at their creativity, humor, and followers.

It’s OK. We’ve got some simple helpful hints.

If you follow the “Four C’s” of Social Media Strategy, you’ll be on the right track.

Content, Connection Community and Conversion (Consistency) it’ll help you build the foundation to engaging your audience and driving tangible business results.

You may not have the internal creative person yet, but your strategy will be rock solid.

And when you get the right team (internal/outside) together, it’ll be so much easier for everyone to follow your strategy.

The 4 C’s

  1. Content

The foundation of your strategy. It involves creating and curating high-value, relevant, and engaging material (copy, video, imagery) that informs, entertains, or educates your target audience. You’ll have to try a combination of different posts to really understand what your customers like and react to. Raw, humor, thought-provoking, honest, educational, reels, behind the scenes…give them all a try and find out what your voice, personality and tone truly is.

  1. Connection

Social media is meant to be social. Connection is about nurturing two-way communication. It means actively engaging with users by responding to comments, participating in conversations, and personalizing interactions rather than just broadcasting messages. You’re going to see the “Good, Bad, & Ugly” from the community, it’s how you deal with your engagements that will bring more engagement to your posts. Remember, everyone is watching and listening…even if they don’t comment, like, follow or share. It’s not a judgment free zone out there.

  1. Community

Moving from individual connections to building a loyal, dedicated following. This involves creating a shared space where your audience feels valued, can interact with each other, and develops a deeper affinity for your brand. Yes, this is harder than it sounds. There are numerous platforms out there to assist you, from cross-channel posting, event calendars, performance tracking, photo editing, yada, yada, yada. Do a little research but maintain your budget when you’re starting out.

  1. Conversion (or Consistency)

Depending on your framework, this final “C” typically means one of two things:

  • Conversion: The ultimate business goal. It focuses on turning engaged followers and conversations into leads, website traffic, or sales through clear calls-to-action (CTAs).
  • Consistency: The key to algorithm success and audience retention. It refers to posting regularly and maintaining a uniform brand voice and visual aesthetic across your channels.

You can shock and awe, be extremely controversial or be politically loud. Just remember, social media isn’t just about reach. Stop relying on those soft metrics that build your ego (likes & follows). It’s about remembrance and return. Stay balanced, go beyond broadcasting and start building relationships. Map your posts to your buyer’s journey through awareness, interests, consideration and conversion.

I Know. It’s a lot to grasp…at First.

If all else fails, put this little jewel in you back pocket. Consumers trust real people more than brands.

There. Now you’re ready. And when you’re ready to elevate your engagement and conversion…We’ll be here to assist. We promise.
