The Best Birthday Ever?

Absolutely.

This month we celebrate America’s semiquincentennial birthday, that’s 250 years for those of you counting on your fingers and toes.

250 years of celebrating and honoring unity, paying tribute and saluting the brave veterans, active military personnel and community members who embody the true spirit of patriotism. Celebrating our unbreakable bonds and reflecting on our strength, resilience and enduring spirit.

And…

Looking forward to the future with pride and shared values of liberty, justice and progress for all!

Yeah, it’s a pretty special birthday.

Think About What’s Been Accomplished in those 250 Short Years.

In 1776, our nation’s founders declared independence based on three inalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It all started with just 13 colonies, and we grew to 50 States.

Over the past 250 years, innovators and American ingenuity have advanced societies in ways unimaginable. Unimaginable, that is, except to the imaginative, inquisitive, the intrepid. They turned possibility into prosperity. Year after year. For 250 straight years.

We’ve changed our life expectancy from 36 years to 80 years. It only took us 66 years to go from the Wright Brother’s first flight to landing on the moon.

Think about that.

Our grandparents witnessed travel change from walking to horses to buggies to steam powered vehicles and cars to passenger liners to airplanes to landing on the moon.

Americans have invented the assembly line, the light bulb, the telephone, the personal computer, the television, the microwave, the cell phone, the internet …you get the picture.

Pretty astounding. Pretty Cool. Pretty American.

That’s Why This is the Best Birthday Ever.

That is of course, until our 300th Birthday Celebration. When those, not yet born, will leave their legacy in making their world a safer, more advanced place to be. Whether in be on Earth, the moon or elsewhere. They will be celebrating and creating prosperity for themselves, their families, their countrymen, their solar system.

And once again celebrating pride, patriotism and progress.

Happy 250th Birthday America!
